Singapore Airport – Terminal 3

The Terminal 3 of Singapore Changi Airport was launched on 2008. It handles a 22 million passengers per year. Flights that departs for Europe, North America, South America, East Asia and Oceania take off from this terminal.

It is also the main terminal for Singapore Airlines carrier.

Transport between terminals


Connection with T1 & T2 by Skytrain can be found nearby Kim Joo Guan as well as in check-in row 11.

The free bus service is also available while SkyTrain is closed down due to maintenance works. You can find it at Terminal 3 at Departure Check-in Hall Level 2 Door 8.
Opening hours are from 2.30 am to 5.00 am. Departure time is of 15 minutes.

Levels

The building has 28 air bridges, which 8 are for large aircraft.

Containing 5 level facilities, it is composed by the following areas:

- Arrivals Hall level 1: You can pick up here your baggage on the belts 41-18.
- Departures Hall level 2: You can find check-in rows from 1 to 11.
- Departure Transit Lounge level 2: Gate A1-A8 (north), A9, 15, 16, 20 and A21 (west) and gates B1-B4 (north), B5 and B10 (east) connected by Skytrain with C gates.
- Departure Transit Lounge level 3: Airline and VIP lounges, services and amenities.

Services and amenities can be found in the basement level, where you can clearly see the Green Wall, which spans across the main building from the basement to the fifth level. Terminal 3 offers to passengers:

Changi Airport terminal 3 has 2 Car Park sections divided each one by 3 levels, locations as it follows:

- Car Park 3A: Level B1: In front of Airline Offices, Level B2: Beside Wilson Parking Booth, Level B3: Beside Cargo Lift
- Car Park 3B: Level B1: Beside Lift PL12 and PL13, Level B2: Terminal building entrance from Car Park, Level B3: Beside lift PL12 and PL13.

Attractions

There’s a wide range of attractions in Terminal 3 regarding nature and art.
Butterfly Garden

On the one hand you can find the Butterfly Garden, where almost 1,000 tropical butterflies of 40 different species lives. You should visit it, since it is actually the first Butterfly Garden in an airport. Also the Green Wall is worth to take a look.

The Slide@T3
You can also take a ride on Singapore’s and the world’s tallest slide in an airport: The Slide@T3, of 12 metres high. For taking a ride you should have spent at least $10 at any of Changi Airport shops. It is located at the Arrival Hall on Level 1. Opening hours: 12.00 noon – 10.30 pm.

Art

On the other hand, many art pieces can be found on the terminal, featuring The Memory of the Lived Space, a clear metaphor regarding our conception of location and space by painted glass and photographic panels.
