Singapore Airport – Terminal 4

The Terminal 4 of Singapore Changi Airport officially opened on 31 October 2017. It will handle annually over 16 million passengers and is located at the southern end part of Singapore Changi Airport.

Regional and low-cost airlines will operate there since it was the former location of the Budget Terminal, demolished on 2012.

Connection with Terminal 2 is by Airport Shuttle Bus instead of the SkyTrain.

Ground transportation between the Terminal 4 to aircraft stands is possible thanks to a bridge across the Airport Boulevard. Also, a new road will redirect traffic from Terminal 4 to East Coast Parkway.


The building has 17 stands air bridges, 4 of them for large aircraft. Its total surface will be of 195,000 sqm.

Parking stands number on Changi Airport will also increase 24% due to the construction of two multi-level carparks. There will be a 2-level taxi holding area too.

A 2-level of 160,000 sqm will host regional and low-cost airlines lounges and air bridges.


The following regional and low-cost airlines will operate in Terminal 4 of Singapore Changi Airport:

- Indonesia AirAsia
- Thai AirAsia
- Cathay Pacific
- Korean Air
- Vietnam Airlines
- Spring Airlines


The new terminal will host automatic facilities by facial recognition system such as self-service check-in, self-bag tagging, automated baggage drop, among others, under the concept “Fast and Seamless travel at Changi”.

Also will have a centralized departure and immigration control.

As all terminals, services and amenities offered to passengers of Terminal 4 of Singapore Changi Airport are ATM’s & Currency Exchange, Hotel reservation counters, passenger meeting services, internet free connection, business areas, baby care rooms, pharmacy and medical services, left luggage, prayer rooms, entertainment areas, retail and shopping, etc.
